We will be going on Ventura in November from Barbados. Does anyone know how strict the airlines are on the 23kg weight limit ?

We travel every year to Barbados to pick up cruise ships as it is the easiest port to arrive and leave from in my opinion. Your luggage is taken from the ship and they do not weigh it. It goes straight to the plane you don't even check it in. That was on Princess and P & O.

We were on Ventura last November and it was fantastic. All our luggage was weighed when we left Birmingham airport. We were under the allowance (only just) so didn't have any problems. Don't know how strict they would be if you were over!!!

 

Coming back, the cases are taken from outside your cabin and you won't see them again until you land back in the UK. We did buy quite a lot of stuff whilst we were away and there was nothing on the suitcases to say we were over the limit.
