Restricted View Outside cabin - worth the extra?

Hi

We are sailing with MSC Opera to Black Sea in Sept and currently have a cat 5 inside cabin. It's an extra £162 total to upgrade to a Cat 6 cabin which is outside but has a restricted view.

Is it worth the money? All I really want is to see what the weather's like when I get up and also get a bit of daylight so you don't have to rely on electric lights all the time.

Has anyone been in one of these cabins? I can't decide if it's worth the extra or not.

Thanks

We were on the Orchestra at the end of March....and felt the restricted view was well worth the $$. There was about 30 sqfeet more space then a regular inside cabin and the light was invaluable. Not sure if the cabins are the same on the Opera or not.

We had a restricted view balcony & it was larger plus it wasn't quite as windy.

Our cabin was 9054. Maybe you could go on the MSC site & see how it compares to where you will be.
