cmlmich Posted May 12, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2009 I know that sounds like a question from a cheap person....and it is! I like to just sit and have a few drinks and play the one cent slots. If I have to dig deeper to get out my nickels, dimes and quarters...I guess I can. :) Do the casinos on the ships have any? I am thinking about booking on the Valor or Liberty at this point. cannongate Posted May 12, 2009 #7 Share Posted May 12, 2009 Just got off the splendor and there were about 25 penny slots. Most of them require 20 or 30 "credits" to play all the lines but you can just play the one if you want. The pay-outs were pretty good and everyone was in use sometimes on the sea day nights. They are way to fun with very animated bonus rounds and crazy sounds and music. :)
poobears Posted May 12, 2009 #8 Share Posted May 12, 2009 I love the penny slots, I can afford to play all the lines and come out even or ahead most of the time. Cheap entertainment LOL

richfret Posted May 13, 2009 #12 Share Posted May 13, 2009 Like every one else, I have played the penny slots and you have a fun time. I see several people on this board won big time but that is certainly not the norm. My impression is that if you put $10.00 into the machine you will eventually lose $10.00. It is just a matter of time. That is not to say that you will not win a few rounds. In fact, it seems like you will win in the beginning and get to $12.00 or so and from then on, the losses exceed the winnings. That's what hooks you. Actually though, I look at the penny slots as a money saver because if I go to the Black Jack or Roulette table ($5.00/$1.00 minimum bet), the rate of losing is so much greater given the same time period. So instead of losing $50.00, I only lose $10.00. That makes me $40.00 ahead. So Carnival is happy and so am I. Do you think Accountants will buy this? royd1968 Posted May 14, 2009 #21 Share Posted May 14, 2009 Do you use cash or your sign and sail card? I prefer cash....when you use your s & s card, it gets way too easy to spend money....fast!!!!

TnMama Posted May 14, 2009 #23 Share Posted May 14, 2009 Thank you for asking this question. DH and I have given each other a 10.00 per day pp limit on casino spending. He and I dont gamble much, but Ive seen him have a ball on a penny machine! So whooo hooooo! Ok, along with the penny slots, this is silly {if its a hijack, sorry} are there cocktail waitresses too? Not to sound sexist or anything. But if Im hitting on a machine, I may not wanna get up if Im out of my DOD.:p
royd1968 Posted May 14, 2009 #24 Share Posted May 14, 2009 LOL, I saw that one - she must've manhandled a lot of wallets, it was always busy! yeah,..that machine was playing with my emotions.....when I went on my first cruise,(with my dad) we spent a ton of time in the casino playing texas tinas older brother, texas tea. we had a ball playing it. then right before the splendor cruise, I took my dad to our local casino as a gift for watching my dogs during the cruise.. they had several of the texas tina machines, so I got hooked there. when I saw it on the ship, I had to play it out of respect for my dad.....
