timetravellers Posted May 13, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2009 We've just got back from a fortnight on Independence of the Seas. I am aware that both Oceana and Ventura operate similar routes. I have posted a selection of photos of both the ship and the ports. Just click here Gail
CASPALL Posted May 14, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 14, 2009 We were on Oceana's western Med a the same time as you - arriving back in Southampton last Saturday. We thought she looked a splendid ship. I spoke to a lady in the airport who had been on Indepence. She had enjoyed it but felt the ship was just too big. She started telling me how expensive everything had been eg. glass of red wine £9 or bottle of wine £33 - not even top of the range stuff. She was asking me what price a g&t was on Oceana as she had paid between £6 and£7. I like P&O's prices I think!

Out of interest we are on Artemis in August, so how much did you pay for a G&T? Independence is a lovely ship and although big there was plenty to do on her. We, like you, prefer P&O's prices. CASPALL Posted May 15, 2009 #4 Share Posted May 15, 2009 I can't remember exactly - it was maybe £5.80 or £6.80 for 2 G&Ts. I prefer not to look at the prices when ordering. That's probably why our OBC had all gone in the first 7 days! Lucky you going on Artemis in August.Such a friendly ship's company. Hope you enjoy!
