CHARGERFAN83 Posted May 13, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2009 I was just curious if anyone had recommendations on how I would go about reserving a spot at one of these dinners. Do I just go make a reservation somewhere when I get on the ship? From the reviews, the dinner is spectacular. I will be on the Ruby Princess. bad973 Posted May 14, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 14, 2009 As soon as you're on board, find a phone and call the 'dine' line to make a reservation. If you can't get into your cabin, try for a house phone. When we were on the Dawn last year, we just went to the dining room as soon as it opened in the afternoon (we were 3rd in line) and saw the maitre'd and made a reservation. I think this year on the Star, we'll make the call then also go to the dining room to make a reservation in person. We had a FABULOUS Chef's Table on the Dawn and cannot wait to do it again on the Star...worth every penny! Barbara;)
mycruz Posted May 14, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 14, 2009 This truly is a great experience. I am hearing that on some ships it is being held several times during a sailing. I will most definitely do it again.
tmitchell82 Posted May 14, 2009 #4 Share Posted May 14, 2009 We called the dining line as soon as we got to our cabin and asked for a reservation for the Chef's table. Guess it would be one reason to get onboard earlier.
Swabbie Posted May 14, 2009 #5 Share Posted May 14, 2009 We phoned the DINE line as soon as we got on. They told us to hold off until the next morning. I phoned right at 8AM. We got in. They did hold 2 Chef's Table sessions during our 18 Day cruise handling 8 people each. The menu's for the 2 session were entirely different. We loved ours and we know some fellow CC'ers who were on the other one. They loved thier session as well. This is one I would do again on another cruise.
