Banana Boat- So what is it and is it fun for teens?

Planning on a Beach day and thought maybe a jet ski ride might be fun. When looking into this, I see posters mentioning banana boat rides.

What are they? Would a teen like that? Where would they offer this close to a nice beach area? Maybe someone has a better suggestion other than jet skis, the stingrays give me the creeps.

If anyone had photos to share I would appreciate it.

Thanks for your responses.

I didn't think it was pulled, I thought it was driven. So it is more like two banana shaped rafts that you sit on, pulled by a boat? I also wouldn't have thought you would flip off. Wonder if our family of four would have our own trip?

So anyone know if there is a nice beach area that rents these?

It is really fun, but the guys driving the boat always change direction quickly to purposefully flip you off the thing. I got a bruised kidney when we were flung off and the girl in front of me accidentally kicked me really hard. I still would do it again though!
