Microwave oven access for passengers on the SUN?

Does anyone know if passengers on the SUN have access to a microwave oven during the cruise? (One member of our party sleeps with a "Magic Bag" -- a cloth bag filled with buckwheat -- that is heated up in the microwave.) It sounds like there are limited electrical outlets available in the cabin, for plugging in an electric heating pad...

Many thanks, Bob

It was on the Sun that I gave a bag of microwave popcorn to the room steward to pop for us. He obligingly returned with a smoking hole filled with burned popcorn, as I had not told him how to listen to the pops.

You should have better luck with yours. We tipped him anyhow.

On the Jade there was no microwave access (at home we use microwaveable heated mittens for my elderly father who's hands are usually cold but knew we wouldn't be able to use them on the ship) so we took and used an electric pad which worked fine. If you go with this option just be sure and take a long extension cord for reach flexibility.

ThermaCare wraps -- check.

No microwave popcorn -- check. :)

Hot water bottle -- check.

Electric heating pad, with long extension cord and extra power strip -- check and check.

Thank you all for your helpful suggestions! Your advice is much appreciated. This is going to be a great cruise, thanks to CC members!
