Long Beach to LAX

You could call Sky Limo (800) 359-1800 and see what their rates are. I'm guessing pricey. There is plenty to do in Long Beach itself - the Queen Mary, the Aquarium, lots of fun places to eat & shop at not too far from the pier. You could go to one of hotels to catch a cab or shuttle to LAX after you've toured around for a bit. You could also rent a car for the day and then you'd have the trunk available for storing your luggage.

The drive to LAX will take you about an hour, barring a major traffic jam, and it's not that tough to do. Exits & where to drop off the car are reasonably well marked.

If you do call Sky Limo, let us know what they say, I'm curious. We've used them for home-airport transportation only and have found them to be very reliable.
