VE cabins on Eurodam?

Was wondering if anyone has had experience with them--do they seat two comfortably on the verandah? Am curious; it's my first time cruising and the VE cabins seemed like a reasonably good deal and good compromise in terms of size/price/amenities. Any chances of a 'Free' upgrade (eg to VC, VA or suite) or is that only in the hotel world?;)

Last summer we were received a free upgrade from a VE to a VA on Eurodam. Yes, two can sit quite comfortably on the verandas. The coffee table is however to small and to low for 2 to eat comfortably.
