Last cruise I was told to go see the casino host, after I emailed pre-cruise like you did and got the same response. The host gave me a CPC tee shirt and told me I would be getting a letter in my cabin for 500 points on my card and a free drink. I did get the letter but forgot all about it. Emailed again this cruise, got the same email again so we will see.

I have always gotten a letter in my cabin saying I get 500 points and a free drink, I have never gotten a tshirt or a free entry into blackjack or slot tourney but I dont gamble alot so maybe if you spend alot of money you may get more.

I sent an email before our last cruise and got the same response you did. Then I think on day two of our cruise I received a letter in the cabin, instructing me to see the casino host on a certain night/certain timeframe at which point I would receive complimentary cocktail and 500 points added to my card. Did so, and both DH and I received complimentary cocktail and 500 points added to my card. (DH did not send an email even though we had both signed up the year before, so he did not get the 500 points).

Anyway, a couple of nights later I was sitting at a machine and one of the bar servers asked me if I would like a drink. I asked for a regular sized DOD, and she said, "Are you sure you just want a small one? It's on the casino." So I ordered a big one and was not charged for it.

Not sure if this happens to everyone, but it happened to me. Hopefully you'll be just as lucky.

I emailed them saying we were sailing again. There was nothing in our cabin when we arrived. We were on a 14 day cruise and on day 12 we got a call from the Casino saying we had a $50. credit they wanted us to pick up. We headed right down and they gave us $50. cash on the spot, no strings attached. So I put it in my pocket and went back to my cabin.

It's crazy how that works, because I'm not a big gambler by any means.

I've always gotten the letter for a free drink+ 500 points.

On the Elation, they were also giving away raffle tickets for every 150 points you had. We didnt find out about this until we met the casino host for our free drink. We ended up with 1200 points,we didnt win at the raffle (go figure) but hey, even if you just snag some tickets from the 500 points they give you, its better than nothing.

You got that drink because you played that machine all the time :D. I see your red wings beat the blackhawks in game 1.

We sailed on Legend in March and Glory in April and emailed Players Club before each cruise and got same response by email but no cabin letters or perks. We spend every night in casino and were disappointed that we didn't get anything. On previous cruises we got 500 points and drink at least.

If anyone is going on the Miracle.. go introduce yourself to the Casino Host, Airguarde (sp?)

He is AWESOME

So friendly.. ... In fact we discussed shopping in the village in the city and he kept 'buying' drinks!

This guy is awesome and in his downtown he sings in the karaoke lounge! and he's pretty damn good!!

Do you get all that stuff because of platinum status or because you are a member of the Players Club? If it is because you are a member, can you sign up for it prior to getting onboard?

you have to sign up on board, but you may email them on the Ocean PLayers website...

Tell them you are cruising again!

What's the address of the Ocean Players Club website? I couldn't find anything about this on the Carnival site. I would like to e-mail them and join before my upcoming cruise. I always drop a lot of money in the casino!

Thanks.

That's how it's been for me EVERY TIME. I've spent quite a bit of money in the casino on every trip. Every trip I go to the website and let them know of my next cruise. Every cruise I end up getting nothing.

I've given up and I'm just going to stop messing with it. I don't gamble for the perks, but it sure would be nice, especially hearing about people who hardly gamble getting something!

We were on a back-to-back cruise on the Conquest in April. We always pre-register with the player's club. Once we were on the cruise, we received a letter from the casino host, telling us they would be adding points to our cards, and a free drink. You have to introduce yourself to the host, and then they take care of adding the points, etc. He also sent chocolate covered strawberries to our cabin each week. We were offered free drinks every day of the cruise, and were turning down drink offers by the end of the second week. The calories in those fru-fru drinks are killers, so I was just taking diet cokes! We were also given a Carnival Player's Club beach bag with 2 polo shirts. Since we are Platinum, we also had free entries both weeks in the slot or blackjack tournaments. The casino host on the Conquest was very nice and made our time in the casino a lot of fun.:)

I want to add that about 2-3 weeks before our cruise we received letters in the mail that said to bring the letter to the casino and introduce ourselves to the Casino Host.....

I have pre registered by Email for our last 5-6 cruises. Always receive a standard Email response stating welcome aboard again, but never received any free perks from the casino host/hostess.:( Only perk received is the slot/blackjack entry for being Platinum.:D

We are sailing in 10 days on liberty, have pre-registered so hoping it will be different this time. Anyone know the Casino host/hostess name?

So if I sign up now for the OPC for the 7/12 Legend, I need to email who to get the free stuff or will it work as a new member?

Sadly I love the slots and the DH loves blackjack so we're in the casinos a lot... Just never joined before.
