Sharon, I love this bag. Can you tell me where you got it, or what the brand is? I can't make it out in the photo.

Amy I got it at TJ Max about a year and a half ago. The brand is travel on. Since Kathi (Scrapnana) has 2 if you want this one I will send it to you for free. I can get it out on Monday as I am heading down to my moms at the beach - Margate NJ for the weekend.

Marie you have GREAT taste in bags. When I get home this weekend I will take some pictures of what I use - I have everything from a LV bag to my polka dot bag steal I got at Target that everyone loves.

I always say I am shoe and bag whore (not in a bad way). One reason I like going to NJ is no tax and there are great outlets in Atlantic City - plan to go there tomorrow with the twins and my mom.

Hmmmm.... wonder if I can convince DH to carry a backpack in port - that could work. So I think that I might need three main bags... 1) cross body or shoulder smaller and chic for dinner and evenings. (I'm envisioning a pewter or bronze subtle metallic that would be neutral) I guess I could carry a clutch, (like Marie! LOL) but knowing me, I would leave it somewhere, then 2) a cross body bag for just running around the ship during the day and when not more formal and 3) a tote or backpack for DH to cart around while in port.

Now, I just need to find them!

Debbie

These can be use as shoulder or cross body. I prefer to holding it in my hand.

Marie,

Thanks for posting the pics! I LOVE looking at accessories! I just love Judith Leiber bags and keep saying I want to get one, but I would have to have a small strap (not even sure if they come with a strap) as I would be afraid of putting it down and walking off - I'm forgetful in my old age.

I also love the Chloe bag - the brown one - I could see wearing this one all of the time, esp in fall and winter - cute with jeans and boots.

These cross body bags are also great for my "casino trips". We like to go to Vegas and Atlantic City and other places and I feel more safe with my things close to me and it also allows me to use my hands for pushing the slot buttons! LOL

I too have been looking for two types of bags - one for the ship, which would be shoulder or cross body but small and chic - hold my essentials (sail pass card, makeup and maybe small itinerary for the day) and then another larger shoulder type bag for the ports. I will probably want to haul around a bottle of water, maps, lists of plans, sunscreen, rain hat or umbrella.

I would love to see pics of what others use to get some ideas of what works best!

Thanks,

Debbie

Ladies! I posted the bags because Debbie wanted to see them. They are not for you. Sorry :D.

Sharon,

I have two vintage Louis Vuittons but they don't have straps and although I love them, they just aren't as functional for shopping, etc. And I'm the same way, some of my bags are high end and some are cheap little bags I find at Marshalls, etc. but I love them all the same! LOL

I've been a frequent visitor to the Coach Store at the outlets behind Caesars - I stop there each time we go up and get a bag for each of the girls that work for me! (Nothing like bribery to retain employees! LOL)

Have fun in AC tomorrow and keep the photos of the different bags everyone uses - I really want to find a nice tote that is fairly neutral and stylish; but that can take a beating during Port visits.

Lisa,

It looks comfy and that is probably the most important thing - I've never seen these before and will have to check them out.

Also, this weekend I'm going to look for a "sparkly" top to go with my lovely palazzo pants so wish me luck! Lisa - You probably should have received the correspondence by now?

Does anyone know where I can get a crossbody bag that has lots of room to put various things in I love using them for work and cruises but the one I use now is too small it's more like a clutch with a strap any suggestions?

Because they are now so popular, you can go to any store that sells purses and buy them for any outfit. All the big designers have them and I even saw a site that showed cute little cross body bags on brides! Itty bitty things made with lace, beads and pearls. :D

My large everyday purse is also cross body because it frees up a hand for groceries, shopping bags, etc. Funny to think that for years I removed all these extra straps.

Wow! All these beautiful bags!

Just like most of you, I have some designer bags but also more no name bags. As long as I like the color and the material, I don't care.

I use this one during the day walking around the ship. It's good size, it looks small but I can put my key card, some tissue, lipstick, iPhone (to take photo) and even the kindle in it! Don't know how to post a photo, it's just a link.

I use this one for the evening. (not exactly this one, but similar, this one is from this season but my bag was bought some years ago)

I use a Coach black leather cross body bag for travel, it's not so big but I can put almost everything in it. I am also petit and can't carry heavy bag for too long, God blessed my husband takes his backpack with him, I can put the heavy stuff = water in his bag. :D

Is the Musette Salsa the one with a large front flap? I love the size and style but I think I worried about the access being a bit of a pain. I bought a beautiful large size bag from LV the last time I was in Atlantic City at the Piers and I immediately used it as we were at the casino and within an hour I had taken it off and put it back in the box to return as the way it worked, if I needed to get into the bag, there was a flap and buckle I believe so the purse tipped over whenever I tried to get into it - so back it went!

I love the Ferragamo! Sleek with a chain handle! The Pouchette is probably a bit small for me - the Musette Salsa is the right size more or less - I see a trip to LV in my immediate future... DH will love that... LOL

I got this before my last cruise and just love it for taking on shore excursions. I can fill it with what I need, including a jacket, and it still has plenty of room if I buy anything on shore. I also use this as my "personal item" on the airplane. It carries my ipad, my Kindle, my wallet, my small camera, snacks, you name it. It is heavy, especially when it's full, but the cross body strap helps that a lot. Fashionable? probably not, but you couldn't get it away from me for anything!

This website is also where I get all my t shirts, tanks, basic jeans and undies! Their undies are the very very best ever. They last seemingly forever and don't shrink, don't ride up, don't scrunch down. Once I put them on, I don't even know I'm wearing them.

Hey Marie,

oh! We totally LOVED the QM2, we enjoyed every minutes during the crossing. My husband said it's the most relaxing holiday we had, I agreed with him. The service was fine (we only booked the Britannia class) and most of the staff were friendly. Only those 2 female staffs in the bookstore/library were very unfriendly. Anyway, we complained about them on the comment sheet. My husband has been checking the Cunard website the whole time. :D I am sure we will book another cruise, maybe a longer one.

We said that since we were spoiled by the Cunard ship, anything less good won't be acceptable. Did you try other ships except Cunard?

I think I mentioned in one of the thread about seeing your photo in the imagine gallery. ;)
