CCress9324 Posted May 4, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 4, 2004 Has anyone been on the Old and New San Juan tour? What did you think of it? What about the Old and New San Juan tour which includes the Bacardi Rum Factory. Isn't the rum factory about an hour away from the ship? I thought the tour might be too long if it included the rum factory. What are your thoughts? Please let me know.
superjerryw Posted May 5, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 5, 2004 I don't really see a need to take a tour of old San Juan as you can walk around there on your own. Be sure to visit El Morro, the huge old Spanish fortress now maintained by the U.S. Park Service. Donuts, is there anything they can't do.... Our tour of new San Juan consisted of visiting one of the hotels with a casino for about an hour and no tour of the rum factories. Catnip Posted May 5, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 5, 2004 I was on Brilliance last month and did the Old/New San Juan bus tour (it was about 2 hours). We really liked it and 2 hours was just about right. Anything longer than 2 hours on a bus is too long for me! We got to get out at a local beach for about 10 min to stretch our legs and then we had about 45 min at the big fort. I would recommend it. (26 prior cruises & 2 flights on Concorde) It has been said that angels, while on Earth, aren't allowed to show their wings, but nothing was ever said about not showing their whiskers. <^..^>
Driftwoodgal Posted May 5, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 5, 2004 On the home page of the CC Board they just posted a great review on what to do in San Juan. They gave you websites and tons of information. God bless you and yours.
brad07 Posted November 3, 2004 #6 Share Posted November 3, 2004 I have used Jesus Falcon in San Juan twice and both times were great. Jesus is very nice, bilingual (English and Spanish) and just a joy to be around. He will taylor your experience for you and take you where you want to go and when you want. I will give you an example. Eight of us were going to the Rain Forest (Awesome) and the women on the way said, "Were Hungry", he stopped and took us to get breakfast and it in itself was a really neat experience. You just can't get that from a Cruise Line and he is less expensive too. Horseback, City Tour, Bicardi Tour, Rainforest Tour, Jesus does it all. His Phone numbers are: Home 787-797-1936 Mobile 787-593-0120 Pete Taylor is the man in Jamaica, Jesus Falcon is the man in San Juan!!
