Transatlantic Clothing?

We are doing our first transatlantic cruise in nov from southampton to fort lauderdale and wondered if anyone had any ideas what clothes I will need to pack as although I know what its like in th UK at that time of year, I was wondering whether to expect it to be chilly all the way over and once we get to florida as we will also be spending a week in Orlando early dec following the cruise. Any advice appreciated as travelling with a 3 year old so packing already a nightmare!!!!
