margbem Posted May 25, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 25, 2009 Never been to the Caribbean before so don't know what to expect! If we spend 4 nights post cruise on St Thomas, where should we stay? We like peace and quiet and good sea and sand. Would want a condo rather than a hotel. Any suggestions please?
m steve Posted May 26, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2009 stayed at Secret Harbour. Studios, 1 & 2 br avail. It's a condo hotel on the beach w/ bar and restaurant. Great snorkling and very laid back. On east end new Red Hook. Rates are reasonable. Bookonline.
2Feathers Posted May 29, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 29, 2009 margbem... if you're really looking for peace and quiet, you may want to consider staying on St. John. Its much more laid back than St. Thomas, is less crowded and easy to get around, and has some great beaches, hiking trails, restaurants, bars, etc. And there are lots of condos and villas for rent there. We've done this post cruise and also flown down for a few land-based vacations. Its our favorite island! Have a great time!!

laser110 Posted July 15, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 15, 2009 Could try contacting Marriott and seeing if there is anyroom to stay at Frenchman's Cove. It's usually mostly owner's and guests but they do have a few villa's that are rentals. They also offer great deals to stay a few days if you're willing to do the 90 minute sales spiel. My wife and I are owners and the first time we went was for 4 days. We paid something like $299 for the 4 days we were there. Did our 90 minute talk and actually wind up buying :) Scott
