Radio question.

Not wanting to get into the debate on if FRS radios are good or bad since we are sure we are bringing them to keep up with our teenagers on our first cruise. What I would like to hear is how people have used them felt the reseption was. We bought some Cobra 2 mile versions but are not sure if we should return them and get more powerful versions since we are sure the walls of the ship will cut down range.

Thx..

We have a set of Cobra 2-mile range with all the sub channels, not expensive. We have used them on Rhapsody size ships with good results. I am up early having coffee on deck 9 and my wife calls me when she is up and ready to go to breakfast in the dinning room. They work well even when we had an inside cabin on deck 4.
