irons on ventura

There are launderettes on each (?) deck. Inside you'll find automatic washing machines, tumble-dryers, and ironing boards + irons.

We used one about half-way through our Canary Isles cruise on her last autumn, and everything worked fine.

As I recall there was no charge, except for washing powder. But I'm not absolutely sure about that - or even if there even was powder for sale - we took some of our own in a plastic cup.

There is no charge for use of the laundrette except you have to provide the powder. They do sell it on board but it is quite expensive so it is best to take your own, just in case they run out or buy at a port.

The irons are easy to use. There is no charge and they are on a timer so they can't be left on. Washing machines and tumble dryers are also free to use. It is best to take some solid washing tablets with you. These are a lot less messy than powder or the gel type tablets that could burst in your luggage.
