Carnival Pride Review Bahamas

May 23 – 30th

Arrived in Baltimore around 1:00pm. Check in took awhile and was a hassle. Apparently when I signed up for my cruise I put Miss. instead of Ms. So that caused problems since I was using my credit card. After 20 minutes of waiting for it to get fixed we were seated. Getting on the boat didn’t take long. We couldn’t get into our room so we had lunch in the Mermaid Grill with everyone else.

Food: The food was good in the dining room. We had 8pm seating, a table for two, our waiters were very nice. The only dinner I did not like was some chicken in bow tie pasta. I did not like most of the food in the Mermaid Grill, so I had salads and pizza most of the time. My boyfriend enjoyed his 1am hamburgers and hotdogs. Desserts were great in dinning room and Mermaid Grill. Especially love the chocolate melting cake.

Service: service was great. I am still not use to leaving my dishes for someone else to pick up. Our house keeper was very nice and always left us towel animals in the morning and night.

Overall of Pride: The boat was smaller than I thought it was going to be but still enjoyed it. The painting of all the naked people took me awhile to get use to. Our stateroom was nice and had a great view of a lifeboat. (We thought we were getting no windows so the lifeboat view was great) I loved the Mermaids in the Mermaid Grill. Crowded on deck during sea days but loved the water slide. The shows in the Taj were great.

Ports

Grand Turk: this port of call was nice; we shopped and sat around on the beach. The water was warm and very clear. Would go back again.

Half Moon Cay: this was my favorite place. I could stay forever. Got a nice chair under a palm tree and relaxed. I loved the hens and rosters in the dinner area. Warm and clear water.

Freeport: I did not like this place and I am glad we decided to use this port as a shopping day. Shops and beach are 11 miles away so a taxi is needed. The taxis ride was scary. The city is very dirty and run down. I would not go back, however I did get nice gifts for my family.

Last day: leaving the ship took forever. Overall I had a great time.
