What is the time zone in Belize?

My husband and I are stopping at Belize City next week and wanted to book the cave tubing with Major Tom.

Our cruise itinerary says we will be there June 11 from 8am - 4pm.

Is this the time I give Major Tom?

Does anyone know the time differences?

I am assuming that the itinerary that RCC gave me is EST (since we depart out of Ft. Lauderdale.)

I just typed in search world time clock Belize, and it cameup 2 hours earlier than our current est time zone. Major Tom has a great reputation on CC boards, so I am sure he is aware of ship time.

In reservation just be sure to ask.
