curlywee Posted June 2, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 2, 2009 Just booked 16 day med cruise 31st July on Ventura. Have been allocated balcony cabin on Lido deck. Can anyone tell us if the location is good and if you can feel any sway being so high up? Look forward to any feedback :)
supered Posted June 3, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2009 We had a balcony cabin on Lido deck for our Caribbean Transatlantic cruise on Ventura last October/November. It was in a great location with easy access the buffet restaurants and pools. Also the spa was one deck up on the Forward staircase which was very near our cabin. This was handy as we spent a lot of time here! As the cabins are high up and forward there is a little but more movement but I wouldn't describe it as sway. There was a Force 9/10 one night and although we flt movement it wasn't that much. The place we noticed the most movement (but still not much) was in Metropolis on Deck 17 Aft. I hope that helps. Look forward to any feedback :) We loved our Lido Deck Balcony Cabin (L226) so much, we have booked again next year. As supered said, it's a great location very convenient for the buffet restaurants and pools. We had a lower down cabin on Independence of the Seas recently, and the movement was about the same. I have posted some pictures of the ship and L226 cabin here Enjoy your cruise Gail
