Toyz711 Posted June 4, 2009 #5 Share Posted June 4, 2009 after you have dropped off your carry-on in your cabin and have done the life boat drill...go around the ship. especially to the galaxy of the stars lounge and investigate the stairway leading down. it's up by the stage area, you will see it. a winding stairway going down.. if you gamble, go to the casino...the 1st hour they (usually) have some "specials" going on. might have some free drinks, sign up for any tourneys, buy some "3 for 2" chips (special $5 chips, buy 2 get 3...good for table games) make sure you check out the daily for the next day, use your highlighter to plan your day. have a great cruise... woodley Posted June 4, 2009 #6 Share Posted June 4, 2009 Go up on deck for sail away and have a cocktail while you watch the shore dissapear.
garycarla Posted June 5, 2009 #7 Share Posted June 5, 2009 Agree with some earlier. Sorry you are so late finding us here. Try to read some recent Spirit reviews for ideas. Go to Windows - Main Dining room for lunch. They will try to send you to buffet. Just say thank you and keep walking. Be up on deck for sail away. Don't worry so much about dinner first night. Walk everywhere to get to know things. Mid afternoon, lots of areas are busy showing off their stuff - spa, library, casino, etc. Read the daily each night. Highlight what you want to do. Then forget everything you planned.
GinDon Posted June 5, 2009 #8 Share Posted June 5, 2009 DEFINITELY be on the top deck for sailaway. As you back into the river, you come in the flight path of jets landing at Logan. They come over REAL low. It's a fun way to start the trip.
