scuba hut on pacific dawn

hi fellow cruisers,

does anyone that has cruised on the pacific dawn before know what the scuba hut is thats at the back of baja deck?

 

is it where u pick up your scuba hire gear, or is it a bar?

 

just curious as our cabin is not far from it,

It is where you buy water-related products (sunscreen, reef shoes) and also hire snorkel gear. It is only open for limited hours. I don't think they hire scuba gear. :)

hi, thanks for answering, i just wanted to know what it was, more interested in the area, i gather u can smoke out the back there.

Smoking is only allowed in some areas & the area near the Aqua hut is not one of them.

 

Smoking is however allowed on the Port side Promenade deck, on the lido deck (deck 12) again on the Port side and on the forward end of Deck 14 on the Port side.

From memory, I think I saw passengers smoking on one side of the casino near the windows??

 

As mentioned above, Scuba Hut is where you can buy sun products / hire snorkelling gear etc.

 

If you are looking at snorkelling gear, you can buy some good sets including mask, snorkel and flippers from somewhere such as Kmart or Big W for about $25.00.
