Any suggestions for a place to part a car for 5 days in August and the approx cost. I am sailing on Aug 22nd and will return on aug 27th. Would appreciate your feedback.

If you're driving from NY, choose a hotel that keeps the car for you. We just used the LQ on 26th st. (again) and they kept the car for 10 days no charge. They will take you to the pier for free also (about 10 minutes) and the return taxi costs about $22.00. Nice hotel, good eats close by that also deliver, completely safe. we've stayed many times with no issues.

But really, the price difference for 5 days parking is probably not going to be of great savings when comparing other sites vs. cruise ship parking area. If you come in a day early and stay at a hotel that offers free parking built into their package and shuttle to and from the ship, that is where you may save the $$$.

For only five days, it will be chump change at the garage; and, even less at Park N Fly, or Park N Go. Also, you can leave your gun in the car at the latter two facilities.
