Best excursions with kids

We're a family with 3 kids ages 6, 4 and 1 years old. We think we're gonna choose the following excursions:

Liarsville Salmon Bake and Gold Panning Camp at Skagway

Whale Watching and Wildlife Quest at Juneau

The Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show at Ketchikan

In your experience, do you think they're family friendly?

Would you make some sugestion about them, or suggest another excursion?

The Lumberjack Show was great for kids! We went when our kids were 12, 7, and 4. They make a super effort to keep kids involved.

 

Whale watching is great, but can sometimes try the patience of smaller children since there is a lot of dead time. Make sure you have strategies for entertaining the kids during the dead times, and also manage their expectations so they aren't expecting to see whales leaping up right next to the ship.

 

We loved renting a car in Skagway and driving to Caribou Crossing for the wheeled dog sled rides.

 

If you go to Victoria, it can be fun just to walk around the Inner Harbor area. Beautiful buildings, and several places with totem poles! Plus there is a super museum there (the Royal BC Museum), and I believe you can get horse-drawn carriage rides around there.
