stipmom Posted June 7, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 7, 2009 I just returned from a cruise on the Grand Princess. All evening entertainment is at 8:30 or 10:30 which allows you to do anytime dining at 7:30 or 8: p.m. and still see a show. Since Royal Carribean has now instituted My Time Dining have they stopped doing shows at 7p.m. shows for late saeting guests.
digital_curator Posted June 7, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 7, 2009 No- there is still a show for late seating guests. Sometimes it is before dinner and sometimes it is after.
The Big Booper Posted June 7, 2009 #3 Share Posted June 7, 2009 Unlike Princess, RCI does not shoehorn people into AnyTime dining. So the shows are still geared for the traditional dining people who make up the majority of the passengers.
DGNY Posted June 7, 2009 #4 Share Posted June 7, 2009 Unlike Princess, RCI does not shoehorn people into AnyTime dining. So the shows are still geared for the traditional dining people who make up the majority of the passengers. Princess show times don't cater to Anytime Dining. The difference is that both shows are scheduled after the traditional meal time. Early seating then show at 8:30. Late seating then show at 10:30. Maybe it's just me, but if I had Late Seating traditional....I would much rather still see the show after dinner. Not before.
stipmom Posted June 8, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted June 8, 2009 I find the Princess system of having all major entertainment after 8:30 a plus.It enables you to eat a little before late seating but still see all the major entertainment. If I'm going to have to eat at "traditional" dining times to see the evening entertainment I might as well stick to traditional dining on my Serenade cruise.
