RCCL Players Club

I was sent the same thing. When I first did this with RCCL I had a very good Host in Vegas. They e-mailed him to get my rating. He replied, and the doors opened up. Pherhaps that is why I got the red carpet treatment and the free drinks from the get go. But I really do think if you

do what I said, and catch the Bosses eye from the start, make a few good bets, and when the Boss is around tell him you are thirsty!

IMHO, the best thing to do is to go to the cashier the first night and ask to speak to the Casino Manager; wait patiently until the Manager shows up (if you are on the IOS they had both a Casino Manager (Steve) and Casino Host (Lee)); introduce yourself to the Manager and tell them you would like to be invited to the Players Club and ask how to go about it.

This will trigger the Casino Manager to watch your play or have the technicians watch your play throughout your vists to the Casino.

After a few nights make a point of speaking to the Casino Manager and ask if your play merits entry to the VIP Casino Players Club.

If so, the Manager should sign you up and you should hear from the Players Club after your cruise.

I would also follow the instructions from the Players Club quoted above to increase your odds of being rated.

Thank you for your input. But this is not what I am hoping for to happen. I want access to the Players Club immediately when I board the ship WITHOUT having to be "rated" for a couple of days. Another member said it could be done but generally need references. The only reference I have is myself. I checked the requirements and EASILY meet them as it pertains to craps. I want to enjoy the game right from the start and not have to be playing wondering if "I am good enough" to be in. I am prepared for them to do a credit check or whatever to get an account opened up. I am not into playing games (except craps :D). But I am not interested in walking up to anyone on the first night asking, "Will you watch me play?" They can watch me play AFTER they give me the membership. If they don't like the way I play then take the membership away at the end of the cruise. I don't want to wait for my next cruise to be a member. I want in now! Simple as that. I have better things to do then spend time getting rated on a game that I already know I am already qualified for. Would I do what you suggest? Absolutely, if I end up in a dead end trying to get the membership before boarding, but I think it is low class for a casino to not offer the membership when requested if they do a credit check and are told how much the player wants for the casino and that they will meet their requirements for play. Have a little trust and courtesy to those that are experienced players and not waste their time.

By the way what is the difference between a casino manager and a casino host and what is their capacity in the casino?

Yo, do you go to Vegas much? Works the same way. You can get a credit line, cash in for $10,000 at the table, and you still wont be compd until after you play. If it was that easy everyone would do it.

The reference is the key. Even in Vegas when I wanted to go to a property that I never went to I had my Host call the Host at this other place and I was compd right from the time I walked in. Thats what you want, but It won't work without a reference. But just do what you do and you will be o.k.

I never in my life waited to see the Mgr/Host. They WILL find you.

And I would never ask to be watched rated etc..thats for rookies.

And to give you an example of Host and Mgr. In the movie Casino, Don Rickles was the Casino Mgr. No Host was even mentioned. But it works different on a ship. The Host is the Mgr and the Pit Boss. They multi task!

Well it looks like it isn't gonna happen for me on getting the membership prior to sailing. I only been to Vegas once so no reference from there. I guess my best bet is to get the casino credit check and the authorization for the $5000 prior to sailing. Then meet the casino manager on the first night to introduce myself and tell them I am interested in becoming a club member on this sailing. And then go from there I guess. Gosh I want that card. I want FREE drinks like every other casino I have been in. I don't know the managers or hosts from any casino I play as I don't really talk to anyone but myself. HAHA!

Don't worry Bro. You will get your free drinks! Just do exactly what I been telling you.

Okay-I will try calling them when I got the money covered for the credit check and pump myself up that I am some Big Shot. LOL!

Well see what happens.

Hey can I just tell them you are my casino host and they can call you.

I'll send you a tape of the sounds of slot machines so when they call it will sound like you are working in a casino. LOL!

For what I hear, no more Sea Pass card advances without a fee. I beleive they charge now a 3% fee if you put money on your sea pass.

Going back about 3 years ago on RCCL and before that with other Crusie Lines. The Casino's had good rules for my game (blackjack) and very loose Dealers. It was better than Vegas. Plus I received many perks and free cruises. But the Casinos on Ships pretty much suck now! They are for rookies, out of control gamblers, and wanna be players! And YOU. lol

Just kidding Yo. I admit, you will find me in there. But just to check it out, try a few sessions and get the hell out. I just like the ambiance, and the noise. Personaly, I wouldn't go thru the extremes to get the free drinks, stuff and cruise credits. The Casino conditions just do not merit that kind of action. But you know what? Everybody needs there fix, and to try. Your percentage of making money is low vs the high percentage of the Ships Casino taking your money without a fair chance to the player.

The Ships Casinos are like check cashing agencies. If you have no bank to cash your check, they are the only game in town. And you will pay. Iam not saying that you are wrong or right on what you want to do, it is just my opinion. But you go get em, be The Man. Life is to short, we all do crazy things now and again.

As I said before I don't like to play games (except craps) and this sounds like a waste of time and more times than not you are just spinning your wheels. It does appear that they will have to watch your play first and then invite you to join up. That is what I got from the thread. Certainly, if you have references then yeah maybe the will give you the card. I am certainly not going to beg for a card. But what I do plan on doing is still obtaining the pre-approved account and seeing the casino manager the first night of the cruise. Just to introduce myself and tell him or her that I look forward to playing here this week and ask them the procedure of the blank check (even though I know the procedure). This is a way for me telling them I have a pre-approved account and ready to roll. They would then watch me. If they want me in their club fine, if not o well. I would like to be, but perhaps if you don't appear overbearing and ask them they are more inclined to invite you. Who the heck knows anyway? LOL!

You got the right attitude. Iam sure you will get noticed. But most off all have fun.

I plan on having fun on the next cruise that is for certain. I wonder how many loud mouths will be at the craps table. Me and how many others? LOL!

It looks like they forwarded my email about the Club Royale to the appropriate folks. It looks like I will have to show them my play first to get into their club. It was nice to get a response. I did thought I read that you needed to show TWO hours of play per day though. Is this a new change here?

Thank you for inquiring about our Club Royale, Royal Caribbean's new player program. Players are invited to join the program by the Casino Managers onboard based on the amount of time played and average bet. To qualify a player must play at least three hours per day during their cruise, placing the following minimum bets: Blackjack/Dice at $50.00 per hand/roll; Caribbean Stud/Let It Ride/Three Card Poker /Roulette at $25.00 per hand/spin; Slots at $5.00 per spin. Guests who play to the above qualifications will be invited to join our players program. After qualifying, then the member will be offered discounts off future cruises based on level of play.

We also have on eight of our ships: Mariner of the Seas, Jewel of the Seas, Serenade of the Seas, Freedom of the Seas, Enchantment of the Seas, Grandeur of the Seas, Independence of the Seas, and the Liberty of the Seas automated player tracking for our slot machines. These allow guests to earn points for onboard redemption of gifts. These points expire at the end of the voyage. This is separate from our players program.

Once you are onboard and the casino is open, you should introduce yourself to the Casino Manager so that you can have your play tracked. If your play merits, you will be invited to join the program and start to earn discounts towards future Royal Caribbean cruise vacations.

Regards,

Club Royale, Casino Operations

I have a casino host, so maybe it helped. I used the link on page one of this thread and completed a form. I received a reply within 5 days like they said and the reply stated I will receive an $825 on-board credit if I play a bit. (I'm sure my wife and I will meet the play they want us to meet) There was no mention of a discount on my cruise (I haven't booked yet). I e-mailed them back requesting free drinks for my wife and I, and the credit, and we'll have a deal. That was this morning. I'll post the result.

Okay! I am not new to gambling but new to this hosting/manager stuff.

What exactly is a HOST and how do you get one? I don't understand the process.

Perhaps if I fill out that form to get a $5000 dollar credit opened up that may help then.

Is there a charge for getting that credit account though? Like do they take 3% or something like that?

I am hoping to get into this club! :D

Any chance for getting into the club on the first night of the cruise?

Tes, in 2007 on the Liberty of the Seas, the casino manager approached me on the first night. I had been gambling for about 2 - 3 hours. My husband was approached on the second night. Now we cruise for free(just pay port charges and taxes). We get free place in slot tournaments and we get casino cash to play with.

My husband and I were both asked to join the club on the last day of our recent cruise, the Nickelodeon Cruise on the Mariner on 7/26/09 (the kids LOVED the Adventure Camp and begged us to drop them off after dinner every night, so we did ... and headed right to the casino).

We both played every day. He played (=lost) a great deal on roulette and stayed at the Hold 'Em table as late as it was open every night. I played a little bit of Blackjack and a lot of slots (damn you, Wheel of Fortune!!).

We were given the letter and the form to fill out the last day of the cruise. Later that night, quite serendipitously, my husband made it all good by winning a $2000 jackpot on the Wheel of Fortune (up until then dubbed by both of us as the Wheel of Misfortune). I won several jackpots myself, though I broke even (over many hours of fun) at Blackjack. The dealers on the Mariner were great and gave me lots of tips, which is good since I love Blackjack but am a journeyman-level player.

I didn't realize I should pull this connection before/while booking our next RCCL cruise (Jan. '09). Just this morning I booked an early-January cruise on the Liberty! Now I am going to write to the email address listed in the letter (we have not yet received any special blue cards or the like in the mail) and see what this may bring ... At least the spectre of free drinks while gambling looms large in my rosy-tinted glasses. I know that a good bit of our SeaPass card charges stemmed from the drinking we did in the casino since we did not drink so much during the day whilst hanging out with kids poolside, rubbing elbows with Spongebob and getting green-slimed.

FWIW, I racked up nearly 3,000 player points during the course of the cruise and cashed them in for the following: $30 in Arcade play credits, $20 in free Internet time, a RCCL polo shirt, a Casino Royale t-shirt and a clutch of free drinks. I think that other offerings have been mentioned here - Portofino dining, etc. We did not take advantage of those.
