isutru Posted June 9, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 9, 2009 Try greeka.com. Go to the page for Mykonos, and they have an excellent summary of all the beaches, including pictures, locations, how to get there, etc. We will be there in a few days and used this site to plan our day. doctrd Posted June 9, 2009 #3 Share Posted June 9, 2009 There is a beach area right off the dock in town, but most people head to Paradise beach. Go to the top of the hill, and there are buses marked with the destinations. Paradise beach has facilites, restaurant, and chairs to rent. Taxi's are hard to come by, and I would not depend on one getting you back to the ship. The other option is renting a scooter or 4 wheel vehicle. We were there last year and took a taxi to Paradise Beach. There is a little office outside the beach entrance and they called us a taxi. It was no trouble. KY Deb Posted June 9, 2009 #5 Share Posted June 9, 2009 We went Paradise Beach on our 5/25 cruise. We took a taxi from town for about 6 Euro. and then the bus back for 1.4 Euro. The bus comes every hour, I believe at 10 past. It is a short ride. Tickets can be purchase on board, at a kiosk across from the bus stop, or a small market just up from the stop. It was easy. Lots of chairs at the tavernas. You can rent them and they will deduct the cost if you have lunch. Bring towels from the ship with you.
