johnql Posted November 9, 2013 #52 Share Posted November 9, 2013 (edited) so I want to get it right, if I buy a FCC on the Epic, I get $100.00 OBC to spend while im there, and when I book another cruise $250 would go for a down payment? Is that right? Basically, yes. However, here's how I look at it. You purchase the Freestyle Cruise Reward (FCR) for $250. A $100 OBC is automatically credited to your account when you purchase the FCR for $250. Your net cost will be $150. The $100 OBC is already pre-spent in a manner of speaking. If you spent nothing for the remainder of the cruise, you would owe NCL $150. Anything extra that you spend will be added to your $150 tab. The $100 OBC is really just a discount. When you book a cruise in the future, the FCR can then be used as the full deposit on a cabin (with higher-end suites requiring additional) with a value of $250 towards your total due. P.S. to anybody who cares, this is a 3-yr-old thread. Edited November 9, 2013 by johnql
