Casino open while in port on Canada New England Cruises

We are deciding on a Canada New England Cruise for the fall

 

As they are very port intensivied, I was wondering if and when the casino would be open

It will be closed while in port, but open at sea between ports. It's not like Hawaii where it's closed all the time while in the islands whether in port or not.

If gaming is your thing, keep in mind that Casino Nova Scotia is a short stroll by foot from the pier in Halifax HS. I saw that on a walking city map of Halifax and we will be making a trip there while in port to check out the local color and perhaps stimulate the Canadian economy a bit- being good neighbors and all!

Casino Nova Scotia is a mile and half from where the ship docks. A short stroll to some, a good hike for others. But a person would be walking in that direction anyway. Just for information purposes.

 

Here is a picture off of Google Earth taken from a ship. The 2 white office towers slightly to the right of center are just before you get to the casino.

Gambling is not very important to me, but my husband enjoys the casion while

cruising, so I appreciate your helpful information
