willow surfside Posted June 11, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2009 Has anyone been on the Celebrity Century ship from Barcelona to Cannes, Portofino, Florence, Rome, Naples. Can you advise on the trip. How was the ship, what did you do in the ports, how was Portofino. Any help would be GREAT. Thanks
Billiam Posted June 11, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 11, 2009 I am scheduled on this trip in October and don't think Century did this route last year and it doesn't start until September this year. I suggest using the search for each port and even the ship. There is lots of info on these boards about each. Happy Crusing------------
lambs2 Posted June 11, 2009 #3 Share Posted June 11, 2009 We were on Century's Transatlantic in late April/May that took the ship to Europe. We did entirely different port stops, however. You will love the Century. She is large enough to have many amenities, but still keep the small ship feel. They have revamped the menus and we found the choices excellent and delicious! There is also a casual dining option set up each evening in a section of the buffet. There is a $2. per person gratuity for using it as you are served froma different menu than what they have in the Main Dining room, but it is a nice option if you do not feel like changing for dinner or just want some variety. There is no dinner buffet, but there is a pasta and salad bar available. If you prefer extra healthy cuisine be sure and go to the Aqua Cafe for breakfast or lunch. Also, if you prefer to eat dinner in your cabin some nights the dinner menu can be ordered through room service during dinner hours. ENJOY!
