Tea and Coffee

Recommended Posts

We have booked a Spitzbergen cruise on Boudicca. We did the same cruise in 2007. I must admit I did not like the tea and coffee served from urns mid morning and mid afternoon. I cannot remember if as an alternative they had tea bags and hot water. I am tempted to take my own tea bags but would rather not if they have them. Of course I can always have a tea in my cabin but I quite like the communal coffee and tea breaks. Any ideas on tea bags?

Thanks, Stephen.

Hi Stephen , they have hospitality trays in the cabin so you can make your own tea or coffee and last time I was on Boudicca you could make your own drink in the secret garden.

However I,m on her next Monday and will let you know when I get back what the current arrangement is.:)

The espresso/cappuccino is good too @ £1.20 a shot, if you don't like the after dinner coffee......it was always brought promptly at the end of the meal from the Secret Garden bar.

When we turned down the after dinner coffee in the dining room on the first night espresso was offered by our waiter who had the wine waiter bring it to us. Then every evening they would double check if we still wanted it that evening & it appeared just after dessert/cheese.

Stephen, not a fixed position ,sometimes the station is in the Secret Garden ,sometimes outside "big queues after lunch",at 2.30 pm asked where it was ,told go make one in your cabin or we will sell you one.

Unsatisfactory compared to his other ships.:(

I noticed they seem to do the secret garden or outside depending on the weather. Thanks for your help.

I hope you had a good cruise on Bouficca. Only six weeks for me now.

Thanks again, Stephen.
