My husband and I are going on the Freedom to Grand Cayman in November. Has anyone ever done the shore excursion to pet the dolphins and stingrays? Was it fun? Fill me in!

I'm not trying to be rude, but you will probably get more responses on the ports of call for Grand Cayman.

In 2006, we went to Stingray City and had a blast, worth every dime! Our friends (first time cruisers) will be going with us on our next cruise, so we will probably go again.

We were on Princess in March and did the catamaran to the stingray sandbar. It was our first cruise and was by far our best excursion. The catamaran folks were great. They were very knowledgable and made sure you had plenty of opportunities for photos and such with the stingrays. They even had names for alot of them. This is an excursion I think we will probably do again.

Anyone looking for a great stingray tour, I highly reccomend stingray sailings!!!! Chip and Michelle will take great care of you!!! They have a catameran easily capable of taking 50-60 guests, they limit there tours to about 30 people!!!! The Cat ride to and from is worth the cost!!! (and it's still cheaper that the ship!!) You get free bottled water on the trip and a fruit tray on the way back!! The crew is very knowledgable and super friendly!!! I can't tell you what a special trip this was! I've taken both the ship offered excursion and their's, no contest!!! If you book with them you are guarenteed to be satisfied!! Just wish they had t-shirts for sale!!! ( Chip says they are working on that!)
