Laundry Suggestions for CruiseTour??

We will be on a 5 day land tour and then a 7 day cruise aboard the Diamond Princess. Although we will pack a suitcase of clothes that we will not see until we get on the ship there will be a few items that we wear during the first 5 days that will be needed again during the final 7 days. So some laundry work is anticipated. The question is where and by whom???

 

The last night of our land tour is spent in the Hilton Hotel in Anchorage. We arrive at 8:00PM and leave the next morning at 9:00AM. They do not have on-site self service laundry. Not sure if there is a laundry facility nearby??

 

Therefore it appears that we will have to wait until we board the ship to do laundry. Does the Diamond Princess have self service laundry facilities?? What about valet laundry service? Is it expensive?

 

Any suggestions or first hand experiences???

Princess offers self service laundry rooms that are about the same price as you would find on land. Check the deck plans for the one nearest your stateroom. They also have complimentary irons and ironing boards in the self service laundry rooms.

You can also send laundry to the ships laundry, but it will not be anywhere near as cheap as doing it yourself onboard.

All the lodges on the Princess Cruise Tour have laundry facilities, as well. We did laundry once on land, and once on the ship.
