Anyone from NJ ever book a transfer from Burlington NJ to Ny pier?

I called Princess about this. From what I understand the bus makes stops I think in Wilmington and Philly (and maybe others prior to wilmington) and Burlington is the last stop. I think it is the bus terminal on rte 541. We are thinking of getting the transfers for our July 26th cruise. It seems like alot less hassle than driving.

The terminal is right near exit 5 on the Jersey Turnpike. You shouldnt have a problem. I used to go to Great Adventure on the backroads and used to live near rte 541 when I was younger. I will let you know how it works out.

Jeanne,

Let me know how that works out. I'm debating taking the transfers or just driving to the port. There will be four of us so I think it might be cheaper to drive and pay for the parking.

By the way, I love your Aussie! We're on our third one now and he's great!

I just paid my final payment for Sept 5th out of NYC to New England/Canada. The transfer says it picks up in Burlington Nj. Anyone ever done that? It sounds easy! My travel agt hasn't a clue.

You would be backtracking getting from Jackson to Burlington. I think Burlington is about 30 miles south taking the NJ turnpike.Taking the backroads may be less miles but slower traffic...

I am considering one of the New England/Canada sailings and am looking at this option. We drove to the port in 2006 and it wasn't a bad ride from Exit 4 of the NJ turnpike. This time I'm leaving my husband home although he did offer drop me off and pick me up at the port. My other option would be driving or taking this bus. I guess I'll decide once I choose a date..

We did this two years ago and are doing it again this summer. It is $79 per person roundtrip. Great way to get to the ship. No hassle with car IN NYC traffic. Off ship by 10 and back home in Medford by 12:30. :)

Kagra,

Did you book this through Princess?

Where specifically is the pickup?

Can use this for future reference.

Thanks.....

Hi Claudia,

Glad to here you have an Aussie, they are great dogs!!!! I have 2 and would get another if I could. They are both blue merles, one with brown eyes and one with blue, both females.

They are truly a joy to have in my life.

I will let you know how it works out with the transfer to the pier. We leave July 26th.

Thank you for all the information. I live in South Jersey (not far from Philadelphia) so none of this would work too easily for me. If I decide to go I have a few options. I recently drove to Boston and New York City cursing all the way so I could probably do the same through Brooklyn...
