tomml Posted June 24, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 24, 2009 I am going on a northbound cruisetour in a couple of weeks. Is the Alaska toursaver book worthwhile to purchase?
tiyana4 Posted June 24, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 24, 2009 If you are going early in the season (as you are) it seems to hold more value. We are going in late August/early September and many of the best coupons will be expired (flightseeing, dogsledding, whale watching, etc.) We considered sending the book back because we were a bit disappointed. We will only be using 4 coupons (hotel, horseback riding, transfer from Whittier and Portage Glacier cruise).
georoc01 Posted June 24, 2009 #3 Share Posted June 24, 2009 The book saved me close to $400. So it certainly was worth it, especially for the price I paid used on ebay. Check out the Alaska section for lots of posts on this subject.
pizzalady1 Posted June 24, 2009 #4 Share Posted June 24, 2009 I am going on a northbound cruisetour in a couple of weeks. Is the Alaska toursaver book worthwhile to purchase? You will need to look at what coupons are offered on their website and evaluate them against what you want to do. Some of the excursions are limited to a certain number per day so you would need to call the vendor and see if they will still take the coupon. I am only using a couple of coupons but it is saving me more than the cost of the book. So only you can tell if it will save you money.

Party Teacher Posted June 24, 2009 #7 Share Posted June 24, 2009 My toursaver book is available if anyone is interested. We didn't use any of the "big" coupons but it still saved us a lot of money. E-mail me at smurfs@socal.rr.com
