PR residents....question

I had booked a room at Normandie Hotel for December, 2009. I was reading on the tripadvisor.com forum that it is closing in August for a year. :confused:

 

My emails to hotel have gone unanswered. I have not had time to call as yet. Have you heard anything about this? Wonder why they took reservation if they are closing temporarily.

Here is what I know-

Normandie just underwent a huge renovation and just re-opened a few years ago. So I doubt they need to do another.... It sounds like bad news to me.

Thanks rainforestgirl for checking this out. Guess I will be looking for another hotel. This one sounded interesting....I love art deco.
