cyndiehabs Posted June 26, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2009 Is this something that can be done in advance? How exactly do you go about doing it and are there only certain hours available? I wonder if the concierge can book it for you?
sunandseagirl617 Posted June 26, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 26, 2009 I would highly recommend that you sign up on the first day. On our cruise last week, the Wipe Out bar (located next to the Flow Rider) opened at 1:15pm and that is when we signed up for lessons!!:)
April-in-NC Posted June 26, 2009 #3 Share Posted June 26, 2009 You have to sign up to use the Flowrider? I thought you just went and stood in line, like at a water park...
snorkelman Posted June 26, 2009 #4 Share Posted June 26, 2009 there are only certain hours when they allow boogie boarding. Then certain hours when they only allow stand up surfing. Then (usually port days) they have private lessons and THAT is what OP is talking about I believe. WHen they are not doing private lessons, then you just put your name down and they give you a wrist band for that day. Then you just head into the line. cyndiehabs Posted June 26, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted June 26, 2009 Sorry - I should have specified that I was talking about booking the Flowrider for private lessons. Is this available only on sea days?

readytolose Posted June 29, 2009 #7 Share Posted June 29, 2009 Sorry - I should have specified that I was talking about booking the Flowrider for private lessons. Is this available only on sea days? Book as soon as you get onboard at the wipeout area right next to the flowrider. Times fill up fast! We ended up getting an 8:45pm time slot. It was really cold since it was dark and we were traveling across the ocean. We had a blast though! Ours was a port day after dinner.

We never did have to book in January; however, we found the best time to go was early in the morning - as soon as it opens and before breakfast. You can catch the RCI staff warming up and showing their excellent balance skills! We only had to share with 4 or 6 other people for a whole hour! the girl said usually in the afternoons, you wait 30-40 minutes for your turn. Definitely go in the morning! quiltsnh Posted June 29, 2009 #11 Share Posted June 29, 2009 If you are talking about time for you family or group you can book that in advance thru your reservation coordinator or thru group advocate( if you are part of a group) We did it thru groups 6 months in advance.,....$300.00 per hour. If you are just talking about getting lessons they are always available to help... It is first come first serve.....YOu can also book private lessons at the wipe out bar. Hope this helps
