jimhpa Posted July 2, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 2, 2009 Sorry, I couldn't find the answer on here. I know that on the ship in Alaska they add the tip to the account. How do they handle tipping at the lodges? We will be staying at Denali and McKinley lodges. Do we charge things to the room, is it all cash, or credit cards? Thank you in advance for any information. I apologize if it has been discussed before.
taszmom Posted July 2, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 2, 2009 You are in the lodge for such a short time, we just paid meals by credit card when presented with the bill. You don't actually "check-in" at the front desk, so need to show your credit card or have it pre-registered like on the ship. You can pay cash or credit card at any location at the lodges. Just prior to arrival at the lodge, a Princess rep, whether travelling by rail or bus, presents you with your packet for each segment. Your packet includes your itinerary, your room key, Princess Patter for the lodge, vouchers for any excursions and your train/rail assignment for the next segment. ONce you get to the lodge, you can go straight to your room.
