Perstef81 Posted July 3, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 3, 2009 We're thinking about renting scooters while in Bermuda to get around. We're docking for a few days on the Majesty and wondering if anyone rented them for multiple days and parked them at the dock? Is it possible/safe? Anyone have any suggestions for where to rent? alabama ghost Posted July 3, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 3, 2009 NCL strongly recommends you not do that--lots of accidents with scooters. We saw one in May between a bus and a scooter. Guess who won?
ricks2047 Posted July 8, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2009 We rented scooters for a 4 day stay a while back and parked them right at the ship overnight in Hamilton. It worked out really well. It also allowed us to get out to the beaches on our last day there when everybody else figured they didn't have time to take a shuttle to the beach and back. We had the whole place to ourselves for the entire morning. One morning we put the scooter on the ferry from Hamitlon to the dockyards and spent the entire day discovering our way back to the boat by scooter. Yea people get hurt on them. Pull over and let people pass if they are behind you, keep watch always both directioons when pulling out, keep your wits about you, remember the whole drive on the wrong side of the road thing and relax, take your time. You are on vacation. I would do Bermuda no other way.
