Need opinions on two shore excursions in the Bahamas...

Recommended Posts

We are departing on 7/31 on the Monarch of the Seas. RCI lists two excursions that I may book ahead of time - one is SeaTrek Snorkelling - zc06 on Cococay and the other is Forts and Pirates NS-50 in Nassau. My party will include my wife, my self, and our three boys - 10,7, and 1 (almost 2). With that being said, and assuming I survive the seven hour drive down, I want to have some time on the beaches plus snorkel some plus the kids love pirates (who doesn't?) Is there a better snorkelling excursion? Is the pirate thing worth the time?

we went on the pirate thing in 2007 with our children then 15, 13, 8, 7. it was a lot of time on a bus...the price was cheap but the atlantis thing is what we are going to try next time. everyone who went to it was raving about it. Our only boy is the then 8 year old and he had fun but didn't like all the bus driving. He did get some cool pirate stuff at the store in the museum but you can visit that your self without taking the whole tour.

Not sure if monarch has it (we were on soverign) but the adventure ocean crew had a pirate party and the kids took over the ship. they dressed the kids up and painted their faces. it was formal night and our 7 year old still had her princess Belle dress on with pirate face it was cute.
