Toddlers in the pool on Legend

I've read that some ships don't allow toddlers wearing swimmers in the pool - does anyone know if the Legend is one of them? Are there alternatives? My son will be just under 2, and we plan on using swimmers so he can enjoy the pool.

Hi!

Unfortunately, no Carnival ship allows non toilet trained children in the pools. It is a USPH regulation to ensure the safety and health of other guests on board. (If you're wondering about the details, you'll find plenty of emphatic discussions on this board about this very issue.)

 

Here's the info from the Carnival web site:

"Use of the pools :

Due to United States Public Health (USPH) Regulations, we do not allow children in diapers, in swimming diapers or those not toilet-trained in the pools.

Lifeguards are not on duty.

The pools are not designed for diving.

Use of the pools by guests under 13 without adult supervision is prohibited. "

 

Some parents bring their own inflatable tub or inflatable wading pool for their toddlers as an alternative.

Lady Jag is right, the answer is no, no Carnival ship is suppose to allow babies in diapers in the pools, "baby pools", OR even in the water spray areas.

 

Potty trained children only. And it's a USPH code, its not up to Carnival.

 

However {as LJ said), you can bring an inflatable. Many do.
