Has anyone ever used the Greenway Tours Company for excursions while in Limon? We are considering using them for the Canal/Canopy Tour. If you have used them, did you get back to the ship with plenty of time to spare? thanks for the help

back from our 8/1/09 CCL Freedom 8 day. We booked with Greenway several weeks in advance for Costa Rica/ Canal-Canopy Tour. 4 of us,DH 46, me 44,DS13,DS16.

We exited the ship and just outside of security were several Greenway Tours Guides. Our names were on a board listed for the Canal/Canopy tour. We entered our 16 pax A/C bus and had a great guide for the day. "Gracie" our guide was pregnant and such a sweet lady. We went straight to the Zip-line as it was forcast to rain later in the day. We were put in our helmets and harness and away we went to Zip-Line!!! IT WAS AWESOME !!! We had a blast and wanted to go again as soon as we got to the bottom. We ate some lunch and had a Costa Rican beer and we were off to the Canal. We saw many wildlife ( sloth, crocadile, tucan, spider monkey,Jesus Christ Lizard, etc).

We had plenty of time to see the banana plantations and some time for shopping at the pier. ( we were late disembarking as port athority had a problem with the ships papers, Captain let the ship depart 2 hrs late. )

Greenway was a great company to tour with!! Great Guides and a fun day in costa rico Ziplining!!!

We used Greenway Tours in Costa Rica for the 6-in-1 Limon Tour on our last trip on Carnival Freedom docking at Costa Rica on 9/30/09. The tour was fabulous. We had a wonderful tour guide and I am so sorry that I cannot remember her name, only that she is 7 month pregnant and she was terrific. The guide and driver were there waiting for us as we got off the bus. Approximately 12 of us were on the tour. We left long before the Carnival Excursion bus did, saw more then they did, and returned before they did. We toured Costa Rica by bus, went through canal by boat (saw sloth & baby, bats, lizards, hollering monkey, many different birds), rainforest by wagon (the man driving the wagon got out and found 2 different poisionous frogs, a big spider, and we saw hollering monkey), souveniour store and a coastal drive back to port. We still had an hour to shop at the port before our ship left. After the boat ride we had fresh fruit. After the wagon ride they offered wild banana and fresh pineapple (yum-don't miss it). Would highly recommend this tour. :)
