Tell me about the beaches in Acapulco

I'm having a hard time finding things to do in Acapulco besides cliff divers.

 

My DH and I love the beach. What are the beaches like in Acapulco? Does anybody just take a taxi to the beach and hang out there for the afternoon? You can rent jet-skis here? Are there casual lil' places along the beach for lunch and some drinks?

 

Any pictures of the beaches??

 

 

Anybody spend some time at the beach and then tour around the city afterwards? I'd love to do both, but not sure how to arrange it. I don't want a tour through the cruise line, but I also don't want a private driver waiting for us while we lay on the beach. :cool:

The last time in Acapulco, we got off the ship, and walked down the street till we found a nice beach and sat for a while.. We then went further down, and found a cool bar on the beach for drinks. It was just the two of us, and we had a great time. Did not see much, but a fun day anyway.
