Planning First Bachelor Party

Hey all,

I'm new on this forum and have read some posts and there seems to be alota friendly helpful people on board!

I am helping plan my buddies bachelor party and one idea I have is taking a weekend cruise our of either NYC or Miami.

I wanted some ideas, tips, recommendations on what cruise line would be good, is there a better time to go for a bachelor party and will there be enough activities on board to for us to have an awesome time.

Here's a quick bio about us so you can give better tips:

  • Mid twenties
  • Mostly single
  • We are all outgoing and like to have a good time where ever we are
  • Would like a casino on the boat
  • and a younger crowd who's also looking to let loose :D

I'm guessing a singles cruise would be good for a bachelor party?? But I am looking forward to everyone's recommendations, also would like to hear from people who have held bachelor parties on a cruise ship.

Thanks all!

I agree... Go Carnival - one of the 3-4 night weekend cruises... you are guaranteed to have a BLAST! From your description, it's just what you're looking for & it will be a party atmosphere all weekend.

Thanks for the recommendations!

Does anyone know if there is anyway to buy a package with all-inclusive alcohol/liquor?

I went on one cruise and I met a group of ladies who kept buying me and my buddy drinks.. we were pretty confused (but happy) and asked why they were so generous and they said they paid a little extra to get free drinks included onboard..

Carnival used to have an all inclusive alcohol package if you had 20 or more people (I think) but everyone in the group had to purchase the package. I believe they no longer have this but it's definetly worth calling Carnival groups and asking about it. You should check out NCL because I know a group had this in March and i'm pretty sure you can still get the all inclusive alocohol for around $250 for a week.

Call both cruise lines and please post the information you recieve.

Hi,

I was in a wedding party (7 total) who actually took the groom on a 7 day Carnival cruise out of Miami for his bachelor party. It started a weekend cruise when we started planning but morphed into the whole week.

Go only with Carnival and trust me, you will be talking about it for years to come. Try to make it for 7 days if you can. :)
