Claire O'Brien Posted December 22, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 22, 2004 Does anyone know what the selection of English language books in the library is like on Lirica? I'm wondering how many books to take myself for the 17 day transatlantic. Unfortunately I have a severe baggage weight problem for the air part of the journey so am having to make hard choices on what to take.
czechmate Posted December 23, 2004 #2 Share Posted December 23, 2004 we found wide choice paper backs - Robert Ludlum, Wilbur Smith, Jeffrey Archer, Jackie Collins, Jilly Cooper to name just a few authors.
Claire O'Brien Posted January 14, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted January 14, 2005 You are absolutely right, plenty of books and many brand new ones. I never went short of a good book to read from the library. They have a chaotic system (if you can call it that) of recording who has what books, at the end of the cruise there was no real check on if you had actually returned the books but it looked like there were even more books at the end of the cruise as people donated their own books to the ship.
