Tender Lee Posted July 19, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2009 Can anyone tell me how people dress in the evening on Christmas and New Years Eve. I've cruised on the NCL Dawn, and although I know that you are free to dress as you please in the evening, I was wondering if people dress up on Christmas and New Years. I've cruised on the NCL Dawn, and although I know that you are free to dress as you please in the evening, I was wondering if people dress up on Christmas and New Years. We were on the Dawn for Christmas in 2006. I think it depends on what restaurant you choose to go to. We didn't dress up but we went to Salsa, the Mexican restaurant. (It was still a free restaurant when we went.) I saw a few suits for the men and fancy dresses for the ladies but for the most part, it was as usual; nice resort casual. msescada Posted July 20, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 20, 2009 More people get dressed up for New Years -- in fact lots do. Only some get dressed for Christmas dinner/christmas eve dinner. I use every excuse i can to get dressed up, so tend to notice whether i'm alone or not... But there are plenty of people in nice casual dress on both days. It does seem that even those who are still casual are dressed a little fancier on New Year's and Christmas- skirt rather than capris, say, for dinner.
