Choozin Croozin Posted May 10, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 10, 2004 Does anyone know if they allow you to bring bottled water and soft drinks aboard the Mariner? Idrink alot of water and would like it when I go ashore. Also enjoy decaffinated diet pop which is usually hard to come by. BLUEICE Posted May 10, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 10, 2004 Choozin - when we were on the VOS last September, we had no problem bringing on Pepsi or water. I am a Pepsiholic and Coke does not cut it for me. Not sure if you want to bring on water, there is tons of water for sale on the ship I just don't know how much it was. I am sure, it is cheaper at home. Hope this helps and enjoy your cruise. TRAYSEE Posted May 10, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 10, 2004 I just got off the Mariner 5/9 and there was no problems bringing water or soda on board. I actually saw a man with a case of water walking on board. Have a great trip ..the ship is amazing ~*~*~TRACEY~*~*~*~*~
superjerryw Posted May 10, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 10, 2004 They won't stop you from bringing water on board but I am not sure why you want to do so. The ship has a desalinization plant to create drinking water so the water on board is very pure. BUTERCUP Posted May 10, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 10, 2004 yep.....you can bring water, soda too.... I agree that the water onboard is purified & good for dirnking... but thats only what they serve yu when dining...the water in the cabins is also purified but is very very chlorinated - so for drinking......I would say stick with the bottled water . jean-lynd Posted May 10, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 10, 2004 We always bring a thermal jug that we fill with ice and water in the Windjammer. The water stays cold all day long on excursions or relaxing by the pool. I hope this helps! HB Cruiser Posted May 10, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 10, 2004 We too are caffeine free soda drinkers. Always, we place a case of Decaf CocaCola in a suitcase that we board with. Once we consume the soda, we have an empty suitcase to bring back items we have purchased while on the cruise. Never have we had any problems taking this on the ship. One time while they were xraying the case the person viewing the screen said "Wow, it looks like a big party to me." Tim & Crystal
