scotiacruiser Posted July 21, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2009 My husband and I want to do a flight(either plane or heli) trip on our trip to Alaska in August. We are used to doing the independent thing, but I can't decide which stop is best, and which operator. We are late arranging because of a late booking, so I hope we can still get up in the air. Anyone got any ideas for independent trip in Icy Strait Point, Skagway or Juneau? Thanks for all the great information. I am sure we can still do a ship's tour, but we find it always more enjoyable, and usually cheaper, to book our own thing. Anyone travelled with FlyDrake in Skagway? cardbucfan Posted July 22, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2009 We did the 2 hour helicopter glacier trek in Juneau with North star Trekking and it was the best thing we did. totally awesome experience. Liked it better than the McKinley Flightseeing trip we did in small plane.
