Hot Tip For Getting Early Tenders On Carnival!!

Just got off the Carnival Legend 12/22/04. I booked cave tubing with Marvin after reading about him on this bulletin board. We had a "passenger emergency" the night before and they had re routed the ship to Cozumel to let two people off so we were late coming into Belize. Carnival cancelled their tours, but since we had booked with Marvin I knew we would be able to go, but needed to get off with an early tender.

Problem: how to get off the ship on the early tenders since Carnival states very clearly that they let the passengers off with tours first.

SOLUTION: You just go to the pursers desk with your printed confirmation in hand and tell them you have a tour booked with someone else and you need to get off early. They will let you do that. You go to the Follies Lounge (or wherever the meeting place is) and show your confirmation to the staff and they will let you off on the first tender. No problem.

PASS IT ON! You don't have to wait until they let the "general" passengers off an hour + later. :)

You mentioned that Carnival cancelled their tours...do you think that was the reason why you were able to get the first tender? Do you think this is something they would allow if Carnival tours were running? I have read that they don't check tickets, confirmations, etc. Does anyone else have any experience with this? Also, what time did you meet Marvin at the pier? Belize is on central time, correct?
