Won't issue an Anchor # for past 2 cruises?

In the 80's I cruised on Monarch of the Seas and Sovereign of the Seas. They invited me to the "Mariners" Captain reception on the Soveriegn because they had a record of the first cruise. Now, the Anchor Society started in 1997 and they purged all records. They won't give me an anchor number, basically classifying me as a first time RCL cruiser. Any suggestions? Am I missing out on many benefits?

Usually if you can provide some sort of proof about your previous cruises they will give you cruise credits for it.

A similar thing happened to my mom. She just sent in pictures of her and my dad boarding the ship. She got the credit, no problem. If you have anything that shows it was RCCL you should be okay.

My girlfriend had to do that. She sent in a picture of herself on the Voyager in front of the sign on the pool deck for a cruise about six years ago and they gave her the credit.

They did the same to me, had no record of my honeymoon cruise, but did for my husband. I sent them copies of my sea pass cards, which I still had.

 

They said they would also take scans of pictures showing me onboard.

They credited me for 2 cruises in the late 80's. I just gave them the dates and the destinations.

I'm glad to hear about this. There are quite a few cruises that we've taken that seemed to have missed the record books. We'll be sure to submit our information.

Good for you! :D I was just going to post that I got credit for a VIKING SERENADE cruise (long gone ship) that I sailed in 1991. They most definitely can credit you for ALL past cruises with the right general information (all I remembered was the month of the cruise and our address at the time).
