seven mile questions

What is there to do there can we walk from resort to resort?Should we book going to 7 mile beach through the cruise line or just take a cab? How much is cab fare? We have seen it cost around $39 each but includes a chair at the beach. How far is seven mile beach from the dock. Is seven mile a private beach where you have to pay to use it? If we went there on our own where should we go we have never been there and would like to relax alittle and maybe have a drink or 2.

The beaches in Grand Cayman are free. Check out the webcams at http://www.reefgrill.com and see if it looks like what you are looking for. It is located on part of 7 mile beach. A cab to the Reef Grill should cost about $5/person each way. If you want chairs they cost around $5 and the umbrellas are $10. Food and drink is available for purchase and the restrooms and they have free showers.
